A repulsor sled shuttles you across a vast expanse of crystal cerulean waters along a wide causeway.
The sled takes you directly to the bank of the river, a major transport hub for one of the largest
and most advanced city-complexes in the Cluster. Situated in the picturesque planet of Vergill in
the Hapan System, it is there that Pinnacle Star, the main Hapan research and development complex,
remains as a shining jewel in a virtually untouched ecosystem and a technological breakthrough in
architectural design and function. It is at this city-complex where the greatest minds and innovators
in all of Hapes make their home. Pinnacle Star is its own functioning, autonomic city - with residential
flats and commercial districts supporting the numerous research centers, scientific laboratories and
medical facilities. It is also here that the Vergill Institute of Technology, a leading academic
technological university, resides. Research, design and development are the central players here at
Pinnacle Star, and this city is the backbone of every great industrial achievement and advancement
for the Hapes Consortium.
Pinnacle Star is fully funded by the Hapan Ministry of Industry. It is also here in this city that
the Ministry of Industry's central headquarters, the Moind Towers, can be found. The Moind Towers
consist of three, irregularly contoured skyscrapers arranged in a triangle and are located at the
north end of Pinnacle Star, with the northeastern Vergillion mountain range a slight distance away.
They are they tallest structures in Pinnacle Star, stretching hundreds of stories upward. Offices
for government officials and agents working for the Ministry of Industry can be found in the
southeastern tower. The Minister of Industry and his deputy ministers' offices are located in the
southwestern tower. The taller northern tower, which columnar base is much wider than the other two,
is heavily guarded and secured. It is in the North Moind Tower that top-secret and confidential
government projects are housed.
The city-complex's eclectic inhabitants consist of mostly Hapan sentients, however more than half of
the total population in Pinnacle Star is made up of droids. As you walk through the bustling streets
of Pinnacle Star, the mingling of sentient and droid is evident all around. The fruits of Hapan
research and development showcase themselves here on the streets as well. The most advanced droids,
vehicular contraptions, and inventions are usually put through the test by Pinnacle Star's inhabitants.
Because of the level of development that goes on within Pinnacle Star, there is need for very tight
security. Special Hapan operatives act as a security force within Pinnacle Star. There are very
strict protocols and guidelines for entering and leaving Pinnacle Star. In essence, every inhabitant
of Pinnacle Star, whether sentient or droid, is working as a full-fledged government worker, and are
treated as a high-level labor force protecting the most valuable of Hapan treasures.knowledge.
