The Olanji Corporation is a company almost as old as the Hapes Consortium itself. It’s roots go back to the Age of Queen Mothers and the First Expansion Era. As the Hapes Consortium was settling more and more planets within the Hapes Cluster, large companies were founded by wealthy Hapan nobles who sought to boost their wealth by investing in industry and production. The planet that was affected most by this was the famous world of Charubah. It was governed by Lady Olanji, one of Queen Mother Arxianic II’s closest friends. She founded the Olanji Corporation and the construction of major shipyards was conducted in the system.

As the centuries and millennia passed by, the Olanji Corporation expanded their locations and founded large cities on planets which were filled with factories producing starfighters for the Royal Hapan Space Fleet and later the Royal Hapan Navy. The Olanji Corporation became one of the cornerstone businesses within the Hapes Cluster providing jobs for many millions of Hapan citizens. All the while, the corporation remained under the control of House Olanji.

The Hapes Consortium accepted no foreign technology which meant that the Olanji Corporation had to design everything they wanted to sell to their own government. This led to many interesting and unique designs, including Purple Seal ships, the Star Home and eventually the Nova-class Battle Cruiser’s predecessor: the Quasar-class Battle Cruiser.

At the end of the Clausula Era and the Pal’durath dynasty, the Hapes Consortium plunged in to civil war. Like all other noble houses in the Hapes Consortium, House Olanji was forced to choose which of the fragments of the old Hapes Consortium to side with. Any choice House Olanji made would anger someone. Eventually the House Olanji pledged their support to Princess Da’tanah Pal’durath. Olanji Corporation production facilities were seized by rivalling factions elsewhere in the Hapes Cluster and the company became the target of several take-over operations. Systems like Charub became the target of multiple invasions in order to seize the shipyards and factories there as well.

The war itself was a call to arms for all noble houses in the Hapes Consortium and Lady Olanji along with her children and other relatives took command of the Charub defence fleet. In the final stages of the war, Lady Olanji was killed as the Drakënus faction made it’s last stand against the Fënixius movement. The war was over and King Andrew I was the new ruler of the Hapes Consortium.

After this, the remaining pieces of the Olanji Corporation were slowly scraped back together. As the Hapes Consortium became more modern under the rule of King Andrew and later King James, the Olanji Corporation was nationalised, becoming the property of the Hapan state, in order to best suit the government’s needs. The headquarters was moved to the Alsace system in order to be closer to the capital of Hapes itself. Impressive craft such as Nova-class Battle Cruisers, Battle Dragons, Miy’tils and Hetrinar Bombers became the new state-of-the-art products from the Olanji Corporation. One of their grand masterpieces is the Pulsar-class Battle Cruiser which now functions as a unique modern flagship for the King of the Hapes Consortium.

The Olanji Corporation has now started looking towards the outside galaxy for potential markets for the sale of foreign type ships that the Hapes Consortium started using during the war. Lord Andrew Starfyre, the Hapan Minister of Foreign Affairs, was deemed best suited to head up this mission.
