Olanji Announces First Starship Launch

A young reporter, rather striking in her appearance, appears on the holoscreen. She is smiling for the cameras and then she begins to speak.
“The Atlas-class troop transport, HRS Nele’serin, has been completed as of the Hapan year 4033 day 289. The transport was completed at Olanji Yards VI and is the first starship to be launched by Olanji Shipyards in some time. Now, we go live to the scene where Director Alley Trepe is hear to speak with us.”
The view changes into a split screen, half the screen is the reporter and the other half is the Director.
“Thank you for agreeing to come onto the show, Director Trepe. Rumor has it that you personally have overseen the construction of the HRS Nele’serin. Is this true?”
Alley’s features brightened up as she smiled, “Yes, I have decided to take a hands-on approach to manufacturing. The first launching is an exciting time for all of us at Olanji. Lord Dortan Amethius christened the ship himself, actually, before it flew off into space.”
“I assume that the christening went well, then? I am quite sure that Lord Amethius is rather proud of what he has done with Olanji.”
Alley nodded, “Yes, of course. Lord Amethius has completely turned Olanji Shipyards around, making it one of the premier shipbuilding companies in the galaxy.”
“So reports have it, Director, that you personally flew the HRS Nele’serin out of the shipyard… how did that feel?”
“It was a great experience. As you know, I am a former fighter pilot and I own quite a few freighters myself, so I just naturally wanted to be the one to first take it out. I am so proud of everyone in Olanji. We have come a long way and we will continue to strive for nothing short of excellence.”
The reporter pressed her finger to her ear, listening to someone, “Alright, Director, that is all the time that we have today. Thank you for agreeing to this interview.”
Another smile reached Alley’s lips as she nodded, “The pleasure was all mine. Trepe signing off.”
The screen went back to the young reporter, leaving the Director behind. “That was Director Alley Trepe of the Olanji Corporation with the live interview. Please stay tuned after this short commercial break.”
