RHAF Rank Structure and Merits

The Royal Hapan Armed Forces utilizes two paralell rank structures, one for the Naval Division and one for the Marine Division. Rank classifications, indicated beside the rank, are transferable when moving between divisions. Ranks in both the N and O category are achieved by merit promotion, category A ranks are direct promotion only and require you to have attained rank O8 or higher. Ranks in the R category are reserved for the Lord Regent, Crown Prince and King.

Merit points can be earned through activity, more active members taking on extra work loads can earn more merits and in turn work their way through the ranks at a faster pace.

1-2 Basic activity level, including filing all weekly reports
3-4 Successfully performing additional tasks within the RHAF, such as a mission or exercise
5-6 Outstanding behavior in the Line of Duty during a mission or exercise

-0 Missing a single weekly report
-1 Second instance of missing a weekly report
-2 Third instance of missing a weekly report
-4 Missing 4 reports in a row

To avoid losing merits when you are away, ensure you file a Leave of Absence report.
