As the commercials end, your holoscreen brings you back to the HNN Evening News program, and the lovely newsanchor, Anacia Chalcedon, appears once again. She flashes her famous smile as a graphic indicating a business report appears to her right…

“We now turn to tonight’s business report. Earlier this afternoon, an official press conference was held at the Grand Plaza in Avalon to formally announcement the creation of Endara Arms Corporation. Leaders and dignitaries representing the Royal League of Commerce were on hand for the unveiling of the new national corporation with a focus on producing weaponry for the Royal Hapan Armed Forces. The creation of Endara Arms was a culmination of efforts brought about by a group of retired naval officers with an interest in a business endeavor, and with the blessing from His Majesty King Jessy James himself. The four decorated officers – Line Cpt. Tharbooka Gobaka (ret.), Admiral Sirius Threestars (ret.), Captain Mike Garibaldi (ret.), and Line Cpt. Evan Crawford (ret.) joined one another at the podium to introduce their new company, with the wookie Gobaka, the appointed CEO, issuing the official statement via comlink translator into Basic:

“After much preparation and a rocky start that forced us to temporarily close our doors last year, I am very pleased that Endara Arms has finally reopened its doors. It’s great to see that all our hard work has finally come to fruition. We have a great group of guys here in leadership, and I look forward to working with them.”

Amongst those in attendance was Minister Ariath Windcloud, the Chairman of the Royal League of Commerce. We caught up with the minister at the reception following the press conference and he had the following to say regarding the new Hapan National Corporation:

“On behalf of the League, I think it would be an understatement to say how excited we are to finally welcome Endara Arms. This is an excellent core group of leaders that I have no doubt will be able to lead Endara Arms into the forefront of the weapons industry. We look forward to the productive and beneficial cooperation between the members of the League with this new addition.”

No word as of yet regarding whether Endara Arms will have a line of products available for the public, with CEO Gobaka noting that the focus would be strictly production for the Hapan military for the time being.

We’ll return after this...”
