Lorell Hall today issued a press release to HNN on behalf of the Ministry of Finance announcing a sweeping wage increase throughout the Consortium. The press release stated:
"The Royal Council, in the name of and with the consent of His Royal Majesty Alexander I, has today implemented a 1 million credit increase in all levels of the standard Civilian Wage Scale. In light of the continuing economic growth and prosperity of the Consortium, and in recognition of the dedication and excellence of those who serve the Throne, the Sovereign in Council has deemed this wage increase to be both appropriate and necessary.
The increase, static at 1 million credits for all wage levels, benefits the lowest tiers of the wage scale the most. The biggest increase is, of course, at Lerin, where the salary has tripled, from 500,000 credits to 1,500,000 credits. While the benefit decreases slightly as a Hapan increases in civilian rank, the benefit is still substantial even at the highest levels. A Confrix, for example, experiences a 25% increase in salary, from 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 credits.
The Royal Hapan Government is confident in the continued success of the Hapan economy, and further hopes that the increase in wages will encourage a subsequent increase in spending and purchasing, and create further economic growth.
