HNN - Hapan-Trade Federation Operation Concludes

The familiar introductory sequence of the Hapan News Network flashes across the screen. As the sequence comes to an end, Anacia Chalcedon appears on screen in front of the Castle of Per`Agthra. She smiles warmly before she begins to speak.
"Good evening, Hapes.
In the last few days, large haulers attached to the Ministry of Industry and elements of the 4th Hapan Fleet returned to the Hapes Cluster via the Hapan Spine hyperlane and Roqoo checkpoint. The task force had taken part in manoeuvres outside our space, assisting the Trade Federation in a classified operation nicknamed `Thylarctos.´
By virtue of the Neshig Accords, the Consortium offered backup assistance in securing governance of the New Apsolon system in the Terr`skiar sector, galactic south-east of the Hapes Cluster and Trade Federation space. The Aurodium Legion, who recently assisted the Galactic Empire in claiming Ralltiir, also joined the combined task force in the system a few days after the initial arrival of Hapan and Federation vessels.
Originally called just Apsolon, the planet renamed itself following a bloodless revolution that changed the planet`s societal structure and government approximately one decade prior to the Clone Wars. While a somewhat reclusive world, it sits on the Ootmian Pabol hyperlane that connects Hutt Space to the Expansion Region. Due to its proximity to Hutt Space and the more unstable regions of the Outer Rim territories, and the local populace`s love of industrial endeavours, the planet had decided to become a member world of the Trade Federation.
The announcement that the planet would affiliate itself with a major power sparked rumblings and threats from parties that profited from New Apsolon`s neutrality and free port status. As a consequence, the Trade Federation and Hapan task forces moved in to modernize the planet`s defensive infrastructure, as well as establish a permanent garrison for the Federation military.
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the 4th Hapan Fleet participated in laying the ground work for future Trade Federation military installations, patrolled the system and planetary atmosphere in search of potential hostiles, and also deployed a new satellite grid. Commodore Vacosa was reportedly very pleased with the performance of Hapan military personnel in the operation, and praised the fleet`s diligence and efficiency.
The Rai`ix Chume also visited the system, meeting with Viceroy Jacob Jansen of the Trade Federation and Legate Dorn Zeke of the Aurodium Legion onboard the 4th Hapan Fleet`s provisional flagship, the HRS Arwinian. The three heads of state reportedly used the opportunity to discuss future opportunities for cooperative efforts and industrial projects.
The Fel`da of External Affairs, Kimberly Pelin`a Tylger commented on the event, stating: "Operation Thylarctos shows the strength of the Neshig Accords and the alliance between the Hapes Consortium and Trade Federation. The events in New Apsolon, along with other cooperative operations that have preceded it, have helped build an even stronger foundation for our relationship that is sure to be a long and fruitful one as personnel from both sides become more and more accustomed to working with one another."
Lorell Hall has announced that a ceremony will take place in the coming days, with promotions and awards for those who participated in Operation Thylarctos. Once details become clear on when and where the event is to take place, HNN will be reporting on the event. Please stay tuned."
