The familiar introductory sequence of the Hapan News Network flashes across the screen. As the sequence comes to an end, Anacia Chalcedon appears on screen in front of the Castle of Per`Agthra. She smiles warmly before she begins to speak.
"Good evening, Hapes!
Earlier today, a task force of Trade Federation vessels arrived in the Hapes system, carrying Viceroy Jacob Jansen, as well as members of his cabinet, directorate and the department of external affairs. The Trade Federation leadership was extended an invitation to visit the Consortium capital by Kimberly Pelin`a Tylger.
Traffic lanes surrounding Hapes Prime had been cleared as the Trade Federation vessels arrived from galactic north and continued in procession at sublight to planetary orbit escorted by vessels from the Royal Hapan First Fleet. The Trade Federation fleet consisted of the Executor-class Star Destroyer Pride of Neimodia, as well as several Lucrehulk 3210 Battleships, Victory-class Star Destroyers, and squadrons of Scarab droid fighters."
"While the Consortium and Federation leadership have met on numerous occasions as part of Neshig Accords, Imperial Union - and recently - Galactic Concordiate conferences, this is the first state visit by the Trade Federation leadership to Hapes Prime since the signing of the Neshig Accords over three years ago.
The state visit purposely coincides with the Consortium's reunification anniversary celebrations for the benefit of Viceroy Jansen, an expatriated Hapan, and is also intended to celebrate the renewal and amendment of the Neshig Accords as announced a few week ago. Representatives of the Ministry of External Affairs have confirmed that the Trade Federation leadership will be meeting with the Royal Family and members of the Royal Council in the capital city Chume`Dan. His Majesty will be in attendance, making this his first official appearance in quite some time since he came down with a severe illness which the Fountain Palace has declined to elaborate upon."
The image cuts to a live feed from the northern entrance to the Fountain Palace compound at the heart of Chume`Dan where Lorell Hall is visible in the distance. Rows of Chume'doro are lined up in the grand plaza near the Gallinore triumphal arch awaiting the arrival of the Trade Federation delegation as a massive Lucrehulk 3210 Battleship descends upon the city, launching Sheathipede Transport Shuttles. Miy'Til Interceptors in escort formation fly across the capital, dropping petals of flowers upon the spectators and soldiers observing the event.
"We are now being told that Viceroy Jansen and his entourage are proceeding by shuttle to the Fountain Palace where they will be greeted by the Hapan leadership. Several representatives of Lorell Hall are now visible on the steps leading up to the palace compound, observing the majestic display of Trade Federation engineering in progress."
A Sheathipede lands in the center of the plaza, with several figures debarking amidst the Chume'doro. Within moments, the group begins the walk towards the palace gates to greet the Hapan leadership.
