Disaster Strikes Dreena

The latest news today is the striking series of earthquakes that have hit one of Dreena's most heavily populated areas on the planet not two hours ago.
For those of you who have not been with us yet, several devastating quakes hit one of Dreena's largest urban centers, Veridon Heights. The death count is estimated at several thousand, but the number continues to grow as rescue crews work through the devastation.
Progress is further slowed by the fear of aftershocks.
The occurance is a surprise, considering the area's typical calm. An earthquake has not hit the region of Veridon Heights in over two centuries.
Lord Vang Tyrridon commented on the situation on his home planet as soon as he heard the news.
"I have ordered all house forces in the system to assist in the rescue and relief efforts at Veridon Heights with all haste possible," the solemn Lord Tyrridon was quoted in a brief speach onboard his flagship in the Lorell System. "I only wish I could be there to help them personally."
Lord Tyrridon and several others of his House personally assisted in cleaning up wrackage in Valo City last year after a severe hurricane hit.
It is estimated that this surprising series of earthquakes has caused double the amount of damage in property that the hurricane did. Meanwhile, the cost in lives continues to grow.
Lord Andrew Starfyre, in the midst of a lull in diplomatic duties, has stated that he will head to Dreena and assist in the cleanup efforts himself.
"The resources of House Starfyre are at Dreena's disposal in this time of difficulty," he was quoted as saying.
